How to build a house that pleases God… It’s time!

20 09 2008

Since my last post titled “His 24-hour Bride… IT’S TIME!”, the Lord has prompted me to release a ‘prophetic arrow’ every 21 days… Ready, aim, FIRE!

Isaiah 58:12 “Those from among you shall build the old waste places. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations and you shall be called Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In…”

Psalm 127 says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” Verses 3 through 5 are key to unlock the full potential of the house of the Lord being established: it states (paraphrased) that children are a reward; they are like arrows in the hand of a warrior that will speak with their enemies in the gate and not be ashamed.

Repairers of the Breach

The greatest breach that needs repairing is that of Fathers hearts returning to the sons and the sons hearts to their Fathers, lest the Lord come and strike the Earth with a curse (Malachi 4:5-6). No longer can we continue in the old wineskin of programs, methodologies, or even the best of intentions. We need a true heart connection, where the ministry of reconciliation gets played out in real time now! Instead of the church functioning as an institution, we will see the family of God restored and the love of Christ modeled with biblical accuracy, thus revealing the Father’s heart to the world around us with demonstration and power.

It’s time to raise up the age old foundations by repairing this generational breach so that we can access the glorious inheritance in the saints, all the way back through the great cloud of witnesses, even to Abraham and Sarah. It’s time to walk in our heritage as Fathers and Mothers of many nations! We are truly riding on the shoulders of those who’ve gone before us.

But if we can’t clear up this current generational breach, then we don’t have the authority necessary to access the raising up of true apostolic/prophetic foundations (Ephesians 2:20-22).  The enemy knows this spiritual dynamic and is working overtime to keep us from this great blessing, and bring a curse upon the earth.

Releasing the Arrows

For us to walk in victory, we will need to know the proper biblical roles of sons and fathers. 1 John 2:14: “I have written to you fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” This passage of Scripture lists the fathers as those who carry wise council with an experiential and intimate knowing. It lists the sons as zealous warriors, overcoming the enemy with the Word of the Lord, which is confirmed in Joel 2:28, “…your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.” Blessed is the man whose quiver is full, but of what use is a full quiver in the midst of battle if it is never drawn upon? God the Father sent His son (released the arrow) who was slain from the foundation of the world and His son, “The Word of God,” destroyed the wicked one and brought redemption by way of the Cross. It’s time for the young men of God (arrows) to be released NOW for the new wineskin of “great grace” to be realized. The fathers need to speak strength and love into the sons and ultimately release them with their full whole-hearted endorsement, just as God the Father said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17) The sons have to say,”…if you’ve seen me you’ve seen the  Father…” just as Jesus did, so that when one rejoices we all rejoice. There is an urgency for spiritual fathers and mothers to partner effectively with sons and daughters who carry this fresh move of the Spirit in their very DNA for this emerging “Jacob generation.”

Reformation or Bust!

Jesus spoke of this concept in the parable of the wineskins, listed in Luke 5:37-39. Jesus, a young man in his early thirties, exposed to the Pharisees and the children of Israel the inability of the old wineskin to contain new wine. Jesus goes on to say that because they think the old wine is better, they do not quickly like the new. There’s no more time to reminisce on the ‘good old days’ and we can’t simply recycle old methods with post-modern jargon and imagery, putting a new spin on an old wineskin. It’s time for a true apostolic reformation birthed through united and corporate 24/7 priestly intercession until we bear the fruit of a sustained revival and the Spirit being poured out upon all flesh! (Joel 2:15-28, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Zechariah 9:11-10:1, Acts 2:1-2)

The Whole Body

God is not going to bring the greatest harvest of souls into a sick and dying church. “Many are sick and dying among you, not discerning the body.” (paraphrase 1 Corinthians 11:29-30) It’s time to recognize and acknowledge one another by the Spirit. It’s time to appropriately honor both young and old with all the wonderfully diverse expressions of Christ and varying ethnos among us. It’s time to make room and have faith for the liberty of the Spirit to move freely through all the saints without a spirit of control, heavy agendas/models and strict prayer initiatives. Jesus said,” My sheep hear My voice and the voice of another they will not heed.” It’s time for this to be about Jesus, where we no longer put stumbling blocks between God and His children. It’s time for us to believe that He is God and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6), not an agenda no matter how good it appears. God’s unity is not uniformity but rather it’s DIVERSITY IN HARMONY. Psalm 46:4-5, “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her just at the break of dawn.” There are many streams of ministry expression; we mustn’t think that our style of prayer or culture of worship is more valuable than those differing from ours, but we are to esteem others higher than ourselves and love one another with the same care that there be no schisms in the body. We must resist the snare of spiritual elitism and honor Jesus as the famous one who is wild about His whole bride! This snare includes elevating anointed leaders and well-known ministries in an almost idolatrous way, while turning our backs on the less comely parts of the body when the Scripture clearly exhorts us to give them greater honor. (1 Corinthians 12:23-24)

The Main Event

The Lord has spoken to me with an urgency through dreams and visions in the night concerning this day of visitation. I, as well as many other intercessors, have had dreams and encounters where the Lord has shown that collectively we have not adequately discerned the spiritual season, nor are we aware of the scope of what He is about to do. The constant prophetic theme is that of a wedding feast where almost everything is set in place, but at the last second our focus was diverted in very subtle and deceptive ways. We have to keep the main thing, the main thing! In Joel 2:17. the Lord makes it clear to us what our main prayer emphasis should be. “…Let them say, ‘Spare your people, O Lord, and do not give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?'” This is about the Bride of Christ, both Jew and Gentile, no longer being a reproach in the Earth, but rather being prepared for her Bridegroom and revealed in glory. This is truly the preeminent marriage issue of the hour. It’s time to major on the majors and minor on the minors like never before. The Lord is about to demonstrate the ‘suddenly’ of His Spirit being poured out on such a grand scale, of the likes that we have not seen nor heard thus far and He’s waiting for us to align with Him.  This outpouring is not to be compared with any previous move of God, for we go from “glory to glory.” Scripture says in Zechariah 4:6-7, “…Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” It goes on to say that the capstone will be brought forth with shouts of, “Grace, grace to it!” For God’s perfect will to birth on our watch, the work of God is that we believe on the One whom He has sent! (John 6:29)  In a day of visitation, even John the Baptist had to decrease so that the Lord would increase. “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.” (Psalm 118:8) “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”  (Psalm 125)

The Bible asks rhetorically in Isaiah 66:8, “Can a nation be brought forth all at once?” As we corporately watch and pray, fixing our eyes on Jesus until He becomes our sole desire, we will see a holy nation brought forth at once by a ‘suddenly’ of God’s Spirit! IT’S TIME!

One in JESUS,

Adam!! A totally solid word my friend!!! This is not to give you a big head (I know you won’t get one anyway) but to encourage you that I believe whole-heartedly that you are speaking the words of God!

He reminded me just the other day – AGAIN – of the NEW WINESKINS for NEW WINE! God is just LONGING to pour out even more new wine – but I think often He is waiting for us to discard the old wineskins (in a manner of speaking) and to prepare a NEW WINESKIN for the display of His splendor.

Keep on my friend – you encourage me!!
